To be formed in and for the world
by God's earthly, human mold.
To be a member of every family
yet belong to none exclusively.
To be a son/brother to all
but never a lover to solely one single soul.
To be a friend to everyone, near and far
but not a suitor to a woman in particular
To be trusted of the secrets in one's heart
yet nothing be talked to someone apart.
To have a heart of charity for chastity
and of flesh to the downtrodden, poor and needy.
To have a will of clouds for obedience
yet of rock for a clear, free conscience.
To have a hand of a beggar for poverty
yet of a widow with two a-penny.
And to have a Spirit-filled companion
journeying towards divine union.
O man and woman, what a life!
